I wanted a bag for 16ish discs for my local course when bringing my 22-disc backpack felt like overkill (neither did I need the stool strap or large storage area for a quick 18). This backpack fits the need PERFECTLY. Its very comfortable to wear for long amounts of time, even when riding my bike! It fits 16 discs like a glove with room for 1-2 more in the main compartment (if you don't need space for a light jacket or multiple towels). Also the included rain cover came in handy the very first weekend I owned it (which almost all other competitors' bags do not include!). The only con I can say is some of the stitching in the pocket at the top of the bag is poor and it was a bit difficult to put in the bottom brace properly (I wore the back without it the first time which helped loosen the bottom fabric a bit)
Loved the rebel bag! It is one of the best designed bag for disk golf I have seen. Favorite part about it is how easy it is to get disks in and out. No more fighting the disks.
The Rebel is exactly the bag I was looking for, and I couldn't be happier with it. The ease-of-use in terms of getting discs in and out of the main compartment, as well as the upper pockets, is what sold me on this bag and I have not been disappointed. It is incredibly comfortable to wear as well. The bag I wanted was in stock and shipped to me in two days! Excellent service on an excellent product, I very much recommend it.
I have both a rebel and the newly purchased shift. I have decided to down size my game in terms of discs carried. I saw that I was reaching for the same ones the majority of the time and the shift fits this style perfectly. I can still carry 16 discs and they stay perfectly organized and visual throughout the round. I carry a Bushnell range finder, two towels, couple minis and a golden retriever. It holds everything I could possibly need and carries like a dream. Great quality and great price point. I’m very happy with my purchase and the rust red color is absolutely beautiful. Great job Upper Park!
I have looked forward to getting an upper park bag for quite sometime. I am completely happy with my purchase. I’m also glad I bought my son one too. The shift helps narrow focus you carry what’s really necessary and research the overlap . This might sound like BS but I’ve been play 6 years bought the shift carried half as many disc to the course and tossed my first bogey free round . My non throwing shoulder is really painful and lifting my other bag was wearing me out . This bag will extend my rounds and allow me to have more fun at the same time . I just played with my buddy I convinced him to swap bags with me , after the round he ordered an upper park bag . Focus better play better feel better . How can ya lose . I’ll be adding the rebel when I can afford to for tournament use but the shift is my go to bag .
I’ve had the DGPT Pinch bag for a couple years. I used to use it as my putt practice bag. Until, this year when I injured my elbow. I hauled around a giant pro series bag that is VERY heavy. When I first started legitimately using the Pinch I was surprised at how light it is. Now, it has become my main bag. I have around 12 discs and 2 putters in the bag. I have been able to have my large 32oz hydro flask and a additional bottle of sports drink. The inside pocket is fantastic for bug spray and a towel. The upper pocket I use for my Thermalcell. The front pocket is fantastic for Keys, Wallet and Range Finder. This bag really does everything you will need a bag to do. If you are looking for an affordable, lightweight, well built back pack. Look no further.
Very comfortable. So far I have 12 disc in my bag and still have enough room for my 28 oz yeti and plus for snacks. Perfect fit for a beginner like myself
I recently bought a new Upper Park bag and it is such a great addition to my golf lifestyle. I have tried many bags and I love all the features it has. I highly recommend any of he models if you are looking for a new bag.
Fits everything I need with plenty of storage space. Super comfortable and light weight. Top tier for sure.
The shift just replaced my pound bag and i am a better player because of it. Don't get me wrong, the Pound bag is top notch and the quality is unmatched. But it was too big and heavy and plus i spent too much time looking for discs in my bag. What is great about this bag is that i feel organized and more strategic on the course. Plus it is light and nimble as well. It reminds me of my Ball Golf bag where all my clubs have a home and you know exactly where to go to get what you need. Also helps me to quickly see if i left a disc on a hole. Love it!
This bag is super nice, I love the layout. Water bottle holder is clutch and big enough to hold my 40oz insulated bottle. Plenty of space for the amount of discs I carry and more - probably 14 comfortably and can easily squeeze in 20. Also looks like it will be perfect for traveling and carry-on use (one of the reasons I got it).
A couple general observations - people have mentioned it tips over. Yes, I assume it’s not as sturdy as the typical monster pro-style bag but it stands up just fine after you get used to it. Has a flat bottom w/ 4 plastic feet.
2nd - unless you’re really hiking, the hip pad/buckle are not necessary and get in the way. My work around is buckling behind me over the water bottle holder but not a deal breaker.
3rd - really good customer service. I ordered and forgot to enter a discount code. They could’ve easily gone radio silence but they honored the code and refunded me a few bucks.
This bag. Luxurious. I didnt expect the weight. The bag is light. But I'm not used to any other bags other than your 40 dollar basic bags you can buy everywhere. Dynamic discs trooper type. I upgraded simply for storage and the fact I wanted to carry more discs. Not because I needed to. But I needed more than a side pocket with 2 tiny zipper pockets basically for holding minis. The side pocket seemed like it was made for minis and nothing else. Barely holding my phone, keys, and a chalk bag.
This bag literally can hold anything. Not only added more disc storage. But I can put everything else in a different pocket. The storage is simply phenomenal. The mini pocket. Luxury. The side pockets. Serious luxury. Either fill them with discs if you wanna have a throwing session in a field. Or literally fill them with everything you could need/want for any type of round, casual or tournament. When you set this bag down. You can tell. It's a luxury. The feet keep down. And it's almost like the bag is weighted at the bottom to not fall. That's what I mean. It obviously has to be heavier than the old bag. But this bag. To me seems like the Ferrari of the disc golf bag world. The quality. Is just there. I struggled. With the price. But hey. This is a luxury item. And I have no problem paying for luxury. Completely worth it. Considering getting shift. Just to have. Luxury is luxury.
The Rebel is a very comfortable backpack and even rivals non disc golf bags in comfort. It hugs your back much better than most disc golf bags of this capacity which mostly feel like carrying a plastic box with straps against your back. It's definitely worth the extra cost to upgrade from a major disc manufacturer's backpack. I used to start getting shoulder and back pain halfway through 18 holes with my previous backpack loaded up but that is not longer an issue. It has all the storage you could need for casual or tournament rounds. The extra stash pockets in the main body are one of my favorite extra features of the Rebel. The only suggestion for improvement I would have is to integrate a pocket specifically to house the rainfly either on top of the bag or along the side (but I do really appreciate the rainfly being included). The construction of this bag is on par with high end hiking backpacks and it seems like it should take the beating of many years of disc golf rounds in the mountains. Thank you Upper Park for the thoughtful design of this bag and because of this I know I'll be a customer in the future.
I upgraded from a cheaper bag from a popular disc manufacturer, and the difference is astounding. The overall quality, space, and comfort make this bag more than worth the price tag. And on top of that, Upper Park’s customer service is possibly the best in the business. I couldn’t be happier with the purchase.
I ordered The Shift for my partner and The Pinch for myself. He's extremely excited to use his bag and I am loving mine. The Pinch in quite affordable but still has incredible storage capacity. It fits my 18 discs with room for at least 4 disc in the bottom of the bag, at least 5 in the inside pouches and 4 to 6 in the outside pouches. We've both only had shoulder bags for the past few years so we're thoroughly impressed with the functionality of these bags. Looking forward to using these for years to come.
