Got the rebel as a gift for an upgrade to an older bag. Immediately turned around and gifted myself the shift. I think I am an Upper Park guy for life now. Lightweight and versatile the Rebel packs all I need for tournaments and works great on my Rovic cart. Putter placement on the top is perfect. Shift is my go to short course pack but still packs a punch for larger courses where I don’t necessarily need the full bag.
I purchased a Rebel back in 2021. I love the storage, ease of use, and how lightweight the bag is. Recently I noticed that the top of the strap was coming apart, so I reached out to Upper Park to get it fixed. They answered my inquiry promptly, stated that the issue was covered under their lifetime warranty, and shipped me out a new bag in less than 3 days no questions asked. The new bag is top notch and I donated the old bag to my friend who needed more storage. All in all, Upper Park has great customer service and great bags.
Pros:
- Disc organization
- Comfortable
- Lightweight
- Holds at least 14 discs but could go up to probably 18.
- Enough non-disc storage for my needs
- cell phone slot is great and accessible when wearing the bag
Cons:
- Inside disc pockets can be a bit of a nuisance when taking discs in and out. Something more ridged or sewn to the side of the bag might help.
- Waist and sternum straps are not needed. Additionally, the waist strap should be removable like the sternum strap without cutting it off.
Just needs a slightly better way to carry keys phone and wallet. But overall a perfect bag for tournaments with fewer discs required or carrying for a quick round round and doesn’t take a lot of space.
I love the bag! It's so easy to get discs in and out. I don't plan on using any other bag going forward in my disc golf career!
